Membrane Switches
What is the Membrane Switches?
Membrane switches are electrical switches that are commonly used in various electronic devices. They consist of a thin, flexible membrane made of polyester or polycarbonate material, with printed conductive circuitry on one side. The circuitry typically includes conductive paths, contact pads, and other components necessary for switch functionality.
These switches are designed to be lightweight, compact, and easy to operate. When pressure is applied to specific areas on the membrane switch, it flexes and makes contact with the conductive circuitry, completing the electrical circuit and triggering the desired action or function.
Membrane switches are often used as control panels or keypad interfaces in devices such as remote controls, medical equipment, industrial machinery, automotive dashboards, and consumer electronics. They provide a reliable and cost-effective solution for user input and control
